SMS Messaging Terms (TCPA Compliance)

By providing your phone number, you agree to:

• • Receive SMS notifications about vibes you join or create
• • Message frequency varies based on your activity
• • Standard message and data rates may apply
• • Text STOP to cancel, HELP for help

Message Types:

• • Time-sensitive updates about joined activities
• • Location or time changes for your vibes
• • Invitations from other float users

All messages are transactional. We never send marketing or promotional SMS.

How float Works

• • Anonymous Option: Drop vibes anonymously on float
• • Share Control: You can share vibe links directly, revealing yourself if you choose
• • Time-Based: Vibes expire based on timeframe
• • Critical Mass: Anonymous participants revealed only at critical mass
• • Data Storage: We maintain records of vibes and user activity

Acceptable Use

You agree to:

• • Use float only for legitimate social coordination
• • Respect the anonymous nature of vibes when applicable
• • Not harass, spam, or abuse other users
• • Not attempt to circumvent anonymity features

User Consent & Opt-In

You must explicitly opt-in to receive SMS by providing your phone number. You can opt-out anytime by texting STOP.

Upon opt-out:

• • All SMS notifications cease immediately
• • Your active vibes continue with you still participating
• • You can still use float without SMS (in-app only)

Location Services

float requires location access to show nearby vibes. Location may be accessed while using the app and potentially in the background for future features. We store location data as part of our service operations.

No Warranties

float is provided "as is" without warranties. We're not responsible for missed connections, failed vibes, or any outcomes from in-person meetups. Users meet at their own risk.

Limitation of Liability

float's liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. We're not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time.

API & Developer Terms

If you integrate float's API, additional terms apply. Our Vibes-as-a-Service (VaaS) infrastructure must be used solely for facilitating real-world social connections.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified via SMS to opted-in users. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
