What Messages You'll Receive
float only sends transactional messages directly related to vibes you participate in. We never send marketing, promotional, or spam messages.
Message types include:
- • Time-sensitive updates about vibes you've joined
- • Location or time changes for your activities
- • Invitations to vibes from other float users
- • Confirmation when you create or join a vibe
Your Consent
By checking the consent box on the float platform and providing your phone number, you:
- • Explicitly opt-in to receive SMS notifications from float
- • Confirm you are the authorized user of the phone number provided
- • Understand that message frequency depends on your vibe participation
- • Acknowledge that standard message and data rates may apply
- • Know you can opt-out anytime by texting STOP
Message Frequency
The number of messages you receive depends entirely on your activity:
- • No participation = no messages
- • Active in multiple vibes = more frequent updates
- • Messages cluster around vibe times (before, during critical mass)
- • Typically 0-10 messages per vibe you participate in
Opting Out
You have complete control over SMS notifications:
- • Text STOP to immediately cease all SMS from float
- • Opt-out doesn't delete your account or active vibes
- • You can still use float through the app without SMS
- • Re-enable SMS anytime by updating your preferences in-app
Service Provider Information
float uses reputable SMS service providers to deliver messages. Your phone number is never sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
